Montessori Teacher

Puddleducks’ Montessori is based within the Kelvin grove area, North East of Palmerston North’s CBD. The Centre is a well-established space set on 6,500m2 of land (that’s big) licenced for 44 children from age 2 to 6 delivering a Montessori programme for education within the framework of Te Whāriki. Currently we are undertaking a large scale development of the outdoor area.  There is a strong learning focus on the natural environment and Montessori have Bronze Status within the Enviroschools framework. Our focus is on sustainability and we are working on moving towards zero waste. We have started a Wetland Restoration Project on site and have planted 500 trees with the plan to have an established outdoor classroom.

Puddleducks’ Montessori is one of seven family owned Puddleducks’ centres in the Manawatu with family values at its core. Certified Infants Teacher

Puddleducks' Nursery and Preschools is a locally owned, family operated group of Education and Care Centres. 

We are taking applications for a position that is coming available at our Featherston Street Centre in Palmerston North.

Our Culture:
Puddleducks' provide separate learning spaces for the infants and also for the toddlers. Our ratios are 1:3 for infants and 1:5 for the toddlers, they are also supported by a Housekeeper and a full time reliever.
We aim to have 100% qualified or 3rd year in training teachers in each room.

Puddleducks' provide a professional development programme to ensure teachers are achieving their personal and professional goals. There is financial support for external professional development and team building. We hold an annual internal conference with national and international speakers and workshops. We have two educational leaders who support all our teachers and philosophy across the Puddleducks' Centres. 

Puddleducks' also recognise achievements monthly and annually with an internal awards evening to celebrate individual and team success, including service to Puddleducks' through long service leave.
